Planning will become more important to managers in the future because of the uncertainty in an increasingly dynamic environment. Changes constantly occur in both the general and specific environments of organizations, and many of these changes take place rapidly.

I believe that planning will always be important to a manager. If the importance were to become more or less important, I would say that it is going to become more important. Providing directions in the planning process is very important because it helps build the foundation of how things will be done.
