    Can military get Covid vaccine?

    Eligible TRICARE beneficiaries can make a COVID-19 vaccination appointment at a military hospital, clinic, or vaccination site. This includes US Family Health Plan (USFHP) enrollees.     What shots do you get when you join the Army?

    Vaccinations: You’ll get six vaccination shots: measles, mumps, diphtheria, flubicillin, rubella and smallpox. Vision and Dental Exam: You’ll have a general vision checkup and a dental exam (including X-ray).

    Does the military give Hep A vaccine?

    In conjunction with hepatitis B immunization, hepatitis A immunization is now required at accession for all U.S. military recruits.

    The Armed Forces use a MEPS exam or DoDMERB to determine the condition of your mouth, teeth, and gums. Furthermore, the military will not pay for you to have braces while you are enlisted in the military.

    Current Department of Defense (DoD) policy states that applicants with current acute or chronic hepatitis or hepatitis in the preceding 6 mo do not meet the accession standard. In 2012, the Department of the Navy expanded its accession entry screening of bloodborne pathogens to include HBV.
